As We Get Older-
The summer becomes less fun and the nights become longer than they were when we were smaller.
We spend more time with each other, doing and discovering new things, revealing ourselves as true beings
all the while getting older-
Time passes too fast and you learn to forget the past.
It’s all said and done beneath our sun, within this little place called
California-
Summer’s like no other, spent with someone other than that girl you used to call your friend.
It’s all pretend until you wake up from that hot sleep and rethink what happened that night before you passed out, sitting in that little corner full of doubt-
Fucked up, Out of luck
Looking for that easy way out, trying to find yourself behind a door-
back in a room, underneath the moon.
Asleep now, Awake later
The fun is over, You’re hungover-
At least you’re older and it’s summer when the weather is much warmer and your looks have changed, since you’ve aged.
